A0678 Digital point load unit, developed based on a prototype created at the Imperial College of London. The apparatus consists of a rigid chassis supporting a test frame consisting of two columns with an adjustable connecting bridge at the top, a hydraulic piston activated by a manual pump, a millimetre rule to measure the distance between two cone-shaped points made of special steel, a pressure sensor and a digital display with a microprocessor.
